Snow day!
I watched “Miracle on 34th Street”–the 1994 version–while making truffles this afternoon. I love this version more than the original, probably because of my irrational crush on Dylan McDermott. Or is it Dermot Mulroney?
At any rate, my favorite line in this film is when Kris Kringle tells the unbelieving Dorey Walker that if she chooses to live a life without faith in something, then she chooses to live a life full of doubt. Chew on that for a moment.
And today’s sad song…first time I heard it was when the a capella group at school sang it at a concert. I fell in love with it right then. Winter Song by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. Not really Christmas-y, but it does mention December, and with 6 inches of snow out there, I thought it was fitting.
