I believe this week can best be described as “slumpy.”
I stayed up until 2 a.m. reading “Isla and the Happily Ever After.”
My sleep cycle was then completely destroyed, and I couldn’t fall sleep the rest of the week until well after midnight. Which meant I was sleeping in until at least 10 a.m. Which meant I was not at all productive where classes are concerned.
So by Thursday I just called the week a failure and I binge-watched three seasons of The West Wing.
I worked on the book a little bit. I read a little bit. I finished half of a class. I slept in a lot. I did several yoga sessions.
It was really mostly an okay week as far as summers are concerned–a lot of lazying around, eating breakfast in bed, not showering until early afternoon. With as much as I need to accomplish, though, it just was not my best effort.
But I get to start over tomorrow, and it is shaping up to be a pretty fantastic week, with a healthy balance of work and play.
