Happy Thanksgiving.

Every year, I become more fond of Thanksgiving. The break from school comes at the most perfect time, right when I’m feeling a breaking point. The food is the epitome of comfort. The time with my family is relatively guilt-free (as in, I’m not thinking about work a whole lot).

I have much to be grateful for; I try to remind myself of this every November. I have good friends, a warm home, a job that I love 90% of the time, and all of those traditional temporal blessings many people recognize.
I can also read and write, go for a run, express my opinions without fear of jail time, vote, and I live in an area of the world where I actually feel pretty safe being out alone at night. I do not take these things for granted.
Happy Thanksgiving, all.
