Today I am grateful for this kid. She and I hit a bit of a rough patch where piano lessons are concerned, and I realized we were reaching a point where we had two options:
1) Let her quit (or take a break from) piano lessons or
2) Make her keep taking piano lessons and possibly damage our relationship because I was turnin into the mean aunt who yelled at her for 30 minutes every week.
I chose option 1, because I plan on a lifetime of happy and silly selfies with her, and I don’t want piano lessons to get in the way of that.
