Well here it is, Christmas Eve. I saw Skyfall with my dad earlier. Not very Christmas-y.
I meant to watch Bridget Jones’ Diary a couple of weeks ago but never got around to it. So I’m watching that now, before I tune in to the only acceptable Christmas Eve movie: A Christmas Story.
I love that movie with such an irrational love. I’ll watch it on DVD first, and then I’ll tune in to TBS and watch it a dozen more times tomorrow. I like it more than Elf, even, which I know is going to draw major criticism from many people.
I don’t care.
Tonight’s sad song is the ultimate Christmas sad song, sung by one of America’s tragic heroes. My favorite story about this song is the lyrics–the original was deemed too sad for public radio, so a line was changed. I’ll let you figure out which one.
