Two Days.

Two days of school is all it took for me to be running a fever and fighting off a scratchy throat. I lumbered through today, feeling achy, tired, and hot–with occasional chills, of course. I made it home and crashed.

And I slept right through two texts, an alarm, and a tweet notification that would have allowed me to run to midtown Omaha for Stueve’s book signing. So to alleviate my guilt, I’m directing blog traffic to his book.

(As soon as I read it, I’ll post my review on Amazon.)

I should have dragged myself out to support him and his family on this exciting day. But after 20 years of analyzing my pansy immune system, I’ve learned one very important thing.

If I can rest for two days, I usually get better before I get worse.
