So today’s education film inspired me in a million different ways, not the least of which is that I need to either marry rich or start raising venture capital to start my own school.
I watched last night’s Frontline episode.
I know, I know. Totally nerdy. Deal with it.
Talk about solving all of the problems in public education, this episode had it. To sum up in two short steps:
Step 1: Kids have to be involved in projects that draw from all curricular areas, and those projects need to fulfill a personal interest or need.
Step 2: Kids need to know they are cared for.
That’s it. That’s the silver bullet.
The segments aren’t too long so you should give them a look-see if you have some spare time.
I say venture capital.
Awesome. So…ya got any money? I figure just asking people is how I raise venture capital. 😀
