Lights Out.

Sometimes it’s the little things that let me know God loves me.

Today, it was a four-hour power outage that led to the district canceling classes at 8:30 AM. I had a relaxing day, as I graded in the company of friends, took a little extra time at lunch to catch up with other friends, and laughed and laughed often.

Then I had parent-teacher conferences, which were low-key, and I was able to plan three classes for next week.

I don’t feel drained, I don’t feel exhausted…it was exactly the perfect kind of break that I needed.

And I learned tonight that I actually work in public much better than I work at home. So…Starbucks and I are about to get crazy close.
