This’ll be quick, as I’m heading out the door to go back to school for a couple of hours and grade. Grade, grade, grade, that’s all I seem to do these days.
But school isn’t without the occasional laugh. Yesterday, I felt lousy. Nearly threw up a couple of times. A colleague gave me his bottle of generic Pepto (Peptic Relief), just in case I dared to try to ease my nausea. It stayed on my desk, untouched.
Because I was feeling so awful, I didn’t write the daily to-do list for my classes. Usually, one particular student adds something to the to-do list. It’s typically funny, but I learned not to give him a blank canvas anymore:
I really do love my job.
