Overheard and Timeless

Overheard:

Four freshmen girls walked past me before lunch yesterday. One of them said, “Do we have to pee?”‘

“No,” was the response, “We don’t.”

Ah, the beauty of peer-pressure induced bladder infections.

Timeless:

Halftime at the boys’ basketball game last night, the hit of the school dance squad’s homage to TV theme shows?

This one. The entire student body sang along.

Ah, the pop culture artifacts that bridge generation gaps.

  1. Yo homes, smell ya later! There will never be another Fresh Prince.Oh, and I tried to call you to see if a stop at the facilities was needed, but I got your voicemail. Please let me know ASAP as I have had 2 quarts of water and a Route 44 Cherry Limeade from Sonic already today. My kids are starting to laugh at my pee pee dance.

  2. I clearly remember being a lite-y (youngun in SAfrican) in SA singing along to this one. I thought it was completely brilliant and poetic. Tis a classic which bridges both generation and culture.
