Flavor of the Month

This quiz has popped up on some of the blogs I read regularly…

“Your personality is as friendly and appealing as strawberry ice cream (especially the kind with chunky bits of real fruit).” I have been described as friendly…

“You’ve got a slightly sarcastic sense of humor, and you rarely stress out or take things too seriously.” Me? Sarcastic? No way.

“You are cute and sweet, but with a mischievous side.” I am pretty cute, and I’ve been mischievous at times…

“You are a bit of a troublemaker, but only because you’re determined to avoid a plain vanilla life.”

Troublemaker? Interesting…I just referred to myself as a troublemaker last night, as we were rehearsing for an Enrichment program and trying to think of a song that could relate to Mary’s mother. I suggested “Let it Be” by the Beatles: “Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be…”

The look I got from the woman in charge was priceless, and totally worth being a troublemaker. Sometimes it’s fun to be irreverent when preparing for Enrichment programs…

  1. They were still deliberating when I left. Sometimes I think I’m extra-irreverent around people who DON’T know me, just for the shock value. For example, someone asked me once, right after my dad was called to be bishop of my ward, how it felt to have a dad as a bishop. My response?“Well, God had to wait for dad’s oldest daughter to quit drinking and whoring before he could be a bishop, so I guess those days really are oveer for me.”I still laugh when I think of her face. I laugh a lot.

  2. I think it just took her by surprise more than anything else. When I’m RS Pres, I’ll request a Beatles Enrichment night.Like how I said that? Now I’ll NEVER be RS Pres! I rock! 🙂
